We had a great time this week at The Web. I want to thank Tom at the Web for bringing us out and thanks to Michael for booking us there. It was a lot of fun and Tom was great to all of us. We rode Go Carts and played Laser Tag - It was Awesome! We can't wait to get back.
I want to give a special super huge thank you to my friend Art from the band Lest We Boast, who brought all of the sound equipment that we used and he also ran sound for us. Thanks a bunch my friend!
Thank you to my new friends at E-6. I had an awesome time last night! Everyone there was really friendly and welcoming. I want to thank Katie for bringing us in, Carl for running sound for us and everyone else who made sure that we had everything that we needed. I'm looking forward to coming back and playing for you again. I pray that God continues to bless you and your ministry.
It's been a busy time for me this summer, praise God! I've been playing out almost every weekend and writing like crazy. I should have a handful of new songs ready to go for the fall shows. Thanks for all your support everyone!
It looks like God is opening up some pretty cool doors this fall. I am getting ready to have a television appearance on a time warner cable show. I'll have more details on that a little later though.

So I wrote a song two weeks ago called, Whisper My Name. I wrote it specifically for a special Creative Arts Worship service. Since writing the song, I’ve been playing it for people and the song seems to have taken on a life of its own. Everyone seems to be able to relate to the realness of not quite being where we need to be in our relationship with God.
The song is written from a story about Elijah in the book of 1Kings. Elijah had just killed the prophets of Baal and was now running for his life because Jezebel was hunting him down. Elijah left his ministry and headed down a road that he didn’t need to be on. The journey was so out of the way that God had to provide food for him. When Elijah finally stopped at the mountain of God, God asked “What are you doing here?” He told Elijah to wait in the mouth of the cave and the presence of the Lord would pass by. As the wind, earthquake and fire came, the presence of the Lord was not in them. Finally a small still voice came through and whispered his name – “Elijah, what are you doing here?”
Elijah was sent back the way he came to go and finish the work that God had for him.
So many times we feel alone and discouraged on our journey with God’s work. Sometimes we need to listen for that small still voice and let God whisper our name.
