Pitch - Pitchy?
hello again everyone.
In this blog addition I'm going to touch on some of the exercises that helped me progress and how I got my pitch under control. 1 - exercises that helped me get better - Once I got the lip rolls worked out, I really focused on the "neys" and "mums." (note) It takes a constant pressure to hit the high notes in my songs, so that's something to work on also. 2 - Pitch and Pitch Control - As you know, I had a lot of trouble with pitch early on. I wasn't able to match pitches. Brett and Jesse showed me exercises on the keyboard that really brought about some vocal breakthroughs. I started at C below middle C and worked on matching pitch with the keyboard note for note. This was pain staking at first because my voice and my ear were not on the same page. I moved in half step increments when I was ready. Please understand that this was the biggest part of my practices for a long time. in my next blog addition I'll talk about how I moved from half step keyboard work into melody lines of worship songs. Until then, keep singing. Eddie It's True, it is!!!
Hello everyone. I want to touch base with you and let you know that yes, it's really me on my before and after clips. Yes, I really have made that much progress. Things are continuing to go well for me vocally and I'm still getting better with each week that passes. I'm looking forward to recording my new CD and letting everyone get a listen to where I'm at now. Thank you everyone for your encouragement and support.
